Considering Matthew Shepard, a contemporary oratorio by Craig Hella Johnson with Grammy award winning vocal group  Conspirare, was recently taped for wide distribution for PBS in early February 2017 at the Moody Theater (home of the famed Austin City Limits TV program). The program will air in the fall of 2018 to commemorate the 20 year anniversary of Matthew Shepard's death. The work includes innovated uses of percussion, including a 5.0 octave marimba, and a cajon to facilitate the works diverse musical styles. The work was recorded last year on the   harmonia mundi label
